Meet the Team

Dr Elene Robson

Dr Elene Robson - BSc (Hons), DClinPsy, PGcert

I am a Consultant Clinical Psychologist with over 24 years of experience working in the NHS, and specialising in child and adolescent mental health.  This has allowed me to gain extensive experience in working with children, adolescents, young people, siblings and parents to overcome a wide range of psychological, emotional and behavioural difficulties.

I specialised for over 10 years at Derriford Hospital in Plymouth, Devon working with children and young people with physical health conditions and associated difficulties such as anxiety and low mood. I then started working for a Child and Adolescent Mental Health (CAMHS) Team in South Devon, where I have worked as Clinical Lead for a service for young people with eating disorders. I continue to work in the CAMHS team part-time alongside working for The Family Psychology Practice.

I have completed additional training in a wide range of therapeutic approaches including: Cognitive Behavioural Therapy; EMDR; Narrative Therapy, Family Therapy and Attachment-based Therapies, Adolescent-Focused Therapy for Anorexia, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Mindfulness-based Therapies. I feel passionately about my ability to integrate all of these models into my work, allowing me to truly tailor the way I work to meet the needs of each individual and family.

When I am not working, I love to spend time outdoors in the Devon countryside with my children and dog.
